I come here when I'm too lazy to make coffee at home or if I'm in a rush. You can get black coffee or lavender oat milk triple lattes; Whatever. I'm a fan of the homemade pastries, particularly the scones and muffins. there's also a cozy courtyard to hang around in if you have time. Kim is the friendliest lady, and chats amiable with everybody that just wanders by. And shes there every day. It's amazing!

I live in this neighborhood and love nothing more than some coffee and quiche in the early morning at this coffee shop. Kim is a wonderful and welcoming person, and their location is excellent and convenient.

Espresso Mio is a local coffee and pastry shop that appears as a pop-up, but is definitely a fixture in the Bankers Hill neighborhood! Kim, her treats and that coffee are always an absolute pleasure to enjoy and are now absolute musts for me when I visit San Diego! My buddy lives a few blocks up in Hillcrest, so on the occasional morning we wander around the neighborhoods and always pop by Espresso Mio...it is a non-negotiable for my visits at this point! Kim has an amazing setup where her tent is tucked in a courtyard-esk space between a few other local businesses. While the area is not large, it serves its purpose and provides folks with a few tables to hang out at and all the space that Kim needs to prepare, store and sell her goods! Our go-to's here are Iced Americano's or if I a feeling frisky, I will get an Iced Mocha. Depending on our morning, we will partake in one of Kim's homemade cookies, scones or frittatas. Pricing is pretty in line with the larger chains, but I certainly prefer the support of a local shop for the cost! Overall, Espesso Mio and Kim are an absolutely gem! As a visitor of San Diego and not yet local, I am jealous my buddies have her in such close proximity! Until next time...

Espresso Mio is a very cute place with excellent coffee. I had a cup of Columbian in a beautiful Matisse picture paper cup(points for great looking cups). The Owner/Barista is very professional and on point. I subtract a star for short hours, small space and no refill discount. Recommended for takeout.

I went here a couple weeks ago on Saturday. We drove past it once, before we found it! (Easy to spot when you can see the sign on the sidewalk). It's basically a stand. They have a cute setting behind it, black and white chairs. Maybe three small tables, fits two people each. There's some more tables in the front of it as well. The female working there was informative of the place and really easy to chat with! She's very supportive about the surrounding restaurants and stores nearby. Great to have Espresso Mio in the community there. ($5.25) I ordered an iced salted caramel latte. I noticed when the girl (didn't get her name, but it's a family business!) was making my drink she used torani salted caramel syrup. My drink had just a little too much of the syrup, but it was still a really tasty latte. It's easy to accidentally pour too much syrup so it is understandable.
